Katie is a proud wife and mother to 4 children. Her family lives in southern Arizona where they also operate a family restaurant. As a child she had her parents throw her painting birthday parties and always refused to name just one color as her favorite. As an adult she started her artist's journey and has found peace and calm through creating art.

Katie creates colorful acrylic works of art painted on canvas and canvas paper. She uses thick brush and palette knife strokes to give each artwork thick texture. She works on landscape imagery, botanicals, especially focusing on the flora of the Sonoran Desert, trees, and flowers.
